Requirements:

    • You must be an active member to attend classes.
    • Classes are offered at low or no cost!
    • If a book is necessary for the class, it will be provided with costs.
    • Registration is ongoing and always posted on Facebook and English Page

Skill Training

Skills trainings are offered year round, most offerings are in the winter when job placements are slow. Offerings are based on community surveys, employer feedback from job placements, and demand for skills.

Skills trainings seek to upskill and reskill registered members to promote economic mobility. Higher skilled jobs offer more compensation and more job stability compared to seasonal labor or landscaping jobs.

We partner with local businesses, organizations, and volunteers to provide skills training courses. To benefit the majority of our members these courses are offered in Spanish and English, or interpretation is provided.

Requirements:

  • You must be an active member to attend skills trainings.
  • Classes are offered to members at low to no cost.
  • Supplies and materials are provided, or donated by generous supporters.
  • Feedback is solicited for continued efficiency.
  • Registration is ongoing and always posted on Facebook and Skills Training Page
